What are you most passionate about? I am very passionate about my family and I am a strong believer that family comes first. Second on my priority list would be school, because not everyone is fortunate enough to have the opportunity to go to a university; and I believe that the people that do have the opportunity should take advantage of it.

Why did you choose to attend UAFS? Originally, I did not want to attend UAFS. It is only about 40 minutes from my parents' house and I wanted to go to school further away. Ultimately I chose UAFS because I met Dr. Dennis Siler and learned about the Honors International Studies Program. After being accepted to the HISP Program I knew UAFS was the place for me. After living on campus freshman year and making the most of everything our campus has to offer, I am glad I chose UAFS. It has opened up many opportunities in my life and I couldn't ask for a better college community.

Where is your favorite place on campus and why? My favorite place on campus is the library. If I really need to focus on an assignment it is the place I go to get organized and cross all the items off my to-do list. During the last two weeks of the semester it becomes my home and the study rooms available help me focus    and have an area where I can relax but keep on the task at hand.

What is your dream job? My dream job is a professor. My major is in English Education and I plan to use this to teach high school and get experience in the education field while I am getting my master's degree. After I get my master's degree I want to receive an adjunct or a teacher's assistant position and work on getting  my PhD in linguistics.

What are you most passionate about? Education is the one thing I have always had an intense passion for. Ever since I could read and write I never wanted to stop learning. Although school can be stressful at the end of the day I would not know what to do if I did not have the educational opportunities I have been awarded. That is why my dream is to enrich lives with a passion for education and learning as much as I have.

Sum up UAFS in 3 words or less: Community. Education. Inspiration.

This university has been a part of my life for the past five years and little did I know I would choose UAFS to chase all of my dreams. I am so glad that I decided to be a loyal local.

Where is your favorite place on campus and why? My favorite place on campus is at the end of the green, right behind the flag poles. It's a perfect place to admire the belltower and the campus, especially when the sun sets.

What is your dream job? My dream job is to be a sports agent. I've always played sports and I would love to assist someone following their dreams to be a professional athlete.

What are you most passionate about? Empowering others. If they believe in themselves as much as I believe in them they will be unstoppable.

Name:  Jordan Dart

Major:  Business Marketing

Expected Graduation Date: December 2020

Hometown: Fort Smith, AR

Why did you choose to attend UAFS? Growing up in Fort Smith, I was sure I wanted to go off somewhere. Knowing that my parents would not be able to financially support my college education and wanting to be independent enough to handle those expenses on my own, I took advantage of the awesome scholarship opportunities at UAFS. I am thankful every day that I did!

Where is your favorite place on campus and why? The Bell Tower is my favorite place because it is so unique to our campus. It makes for a beautiful picture and student organizations are always by it to interact with a wide variety of students.

What is your dream job? My dream job would be U.S. Secretary of State. With a love of country and our American government, and a drive to better both our political system and those of nations around the world, this job would be fulfilling and impactful. Plus, who doesn't love Madam Secretary?

What are you most passionate about? I am passionate about doing. In a broad sense, doing is the first step to results. Nothing can be accomplished by waiting. A favorite book of mine states, "I have deep within me an inability to do nothing." Not to be confused with irrationality, doing does not have to be fast paced. To act slowly and thoughtfully is still to act and I am determined to always take action that leads me to results.

Sum up UAFS in 3 words or less: Inviting. Inventive. Intimate.

Name:  Cindy Sackprasueth

Major: Nursing

Expected Graduation Date: May 2021

Hometown: Van Buren, AR

Why did you choose to attend UAFS? I chose to attend UAFS because of its proximity to my hometown. The tuition is affordable and the campus and its environment is friendly, clean, and easy to walk to-and-from class. In addition, the BSN Nursing Program offered at UAFS is reputable for its educational process and development of future nurses.

Where is your favorite place on campus and why? The library is my favorite place on campus. In fact, it's my sanctuary. I make frequent visits for study sessions with my classmates. Plus, it is a perfect place to seek solitude from external distractions. Our university includes a 24-hour lab that is perfect for students living off-campus who need a place to work between classes.

What is your dream job? I aspire to be a pediatric nurse practitioner. From a young age, I've always had an interest in health science. I admired picture books of the human anatomy, studied my surroundings attentively with curiosity at annual check-ups, and enjoyed playing "doctor" with my stuffed animals and dolls. As my interest in the medical field grew, I decided to turn my dreams into reality by majoring in nursing at UAFS. By implementing the knowledge I will earn from my degree, I plan to assist marginalized populations in both the states and countries where citizens struggle to support a family and afford medical care.

What are you most passionate about? I am passionate about assisting and educating people over the essentials of their well-being. It is imperative that people know when their body needs to stop and take a break. This significantly applies to college students. We should always remember to prioritize our health. As a result, that will help you perform smoothly in school in the long run.

Sum up UAFS in 3 words or less: Innovative. Dynamic. Thriving.
