AP Credit

 

UAFS participates in the Advanced Placement (AP) program of the College Level Examination Board and has authorized credit and/or placement for students who present qualifying scores in the course noted below, subject to the following:

  • Credit will be posted on the academic record after the state census day of the student's first semester, either fall or spring.
  • If a student earns AP as well as traditional credit for the same course, the most recent credit earned will be used to meet degree requirements and in GPA calculations (if the most recent is traditional credit earned in residence).

* Student may submit writing samples to the head of the English, Rhetoric and Writing department (contact the department for guidelines before submitting the sample).
  Upon evaluation, the student may be awarded additional literature general education credit.

 

** Must enroll and complete PHYS 2823/2831 with a “C” or better to receive credit.

 

*** Must enroll and complete PHYS 2923/2931with a “C” or better to receive credit.

 

**** Students in the graphic design and studio art programs will be required to present a portfolio of work in this course to pass ART 1551 and be admitted to the program.
