UAFS participates in the Advanced Placement (AP) program of the College Level Examination Board and has authorized credit and/or placement for students who present qualifying scores in the course noted below, subject to the following:
- Credit will be posted on the academic record after the state census day of the student's first semester, either fall or spring.
- If a student earns AP as well as traditional credit for the same course, the most recent credit earned will be used to meet degree requirements and in GPA calculations (if the most recent is traditional credit earned in residence).

**** Students in the graphic design and studio art programs will be required to present a portfolio of work in this course to pass ART 1551 and be admitted to the program.
