Why Did You Choose to Attend UAFS?

I chose to attend UAFS because I thought the size of the college would be an excellent fit for me. I believed by being able to have a smaller classroom ratio and being able to make connections with teachers I would succeed better in my classes. However, the reason I continue to stay and why I absolutely love it here is because of the people. I have met some of the most outstanding individuals both student and staff here that I know will continue to be a support and inspiration to me not only for my three years here, but also for the rest of my life.

Favorite Place on Campus?

My favorite place on campus is easily the Lion’s Den. The residence hall has become my second home and I absolutely love my position as a resident assistant. The Den has fun programs and can be a great place to hang out and study. I have met some of my best friends through campus housing and is without a doubt amazing.

What do you wish you would have known during your first semester?

I wish that I would have known to say no a little better. There are absolutely so many amazing organizations and clubs that you can join when becoming a student and it is so easy to want to join them all. However, you have to realize that you are a student first and that there has to be a limit to the organizations and time commitments you make before you have spread yourself too thin.

Hobbies/Interests?

I love the outdoors and reading, although I don’t get to do that as much as I want. I also enjoy crafting and just spending time with friends.
