The Associate of Applied Science in General Technology-Welding is designed for students to develop skills that meet certain certification test standards for both structural and high-pressure vessel welding. Students will learn basic and advanced skills in Arc, MIG, and TIG welding. Theories and practical application of fabrication and layout are also covered. Courses assist in developing skills needed for structural and high-pressured vessel welding and include technical skill proficiencies standardized by the American Welding Society.
 
The technical certificate in welding is designed to train for entry-level welding employment. The courses may be applied towards the AAS degree. 
 
The certificate of proficiency in welding layout and fabrication provides skill- specific entry-level training. The courses may be applied towards the AAS degree. 
 
The certificate of proficiency in Arc welding provides skill specific entry-level training. The courses may be applied towards the AAS degree. 
 
The certificate of proficiency in MIG welding provides skill specific entry-level training. The courses may be applied towards the AAS degree.
 
The certificate of proficiency in TIG welding provides skill specific entry-level training. The courses may be applied towards the AAS degree.
